I am a new Artisan. I was going around, surveying for the kind of petrochemical I wanted, found it, found a spot with a 90% concentration, and then planted my harvester. When I went into the resources list on the harvester, the petrochemical was not listed. I can manually sample the petrochemical with my survey tool. Whats up with that?

You may have been using the wrong kind of harvester. Chemical is different than mineral, or gas, or water, or flora, etc...

What survey tool were you using? Solid petrochemical is a mineral, so itneeds a mineral harvester to extract. Liquid and Inert petrochemical are extracted with a chemical extractor. You want to use the same type of harvester as the survey tool you found the resource with.
