Thread: How do I know what mineral to get?
I am REALY starting to get pissed off. The only way I can seem to get any good credits is to do those long delivery missions that take just under an hour to run between cities.
I have no other option because ALL the NPC artisan "**edit** the material names and/or waypoints. This NEEEDS to be fixed or artisans suffer the most since this is their main source of credits.
I know the developers have had is hard the past few days from the horrific launch, but come on. This should have been something resolved in beta ESPECIALLY if they knew about it. What was that extra 2 month delay on release for then.
Actually, it's not necessarily bugged.
Go to your Datapad. The mission should have put a waypoint in there. The Details on the Waypoint usually list the mineral you need.
Also if you are on a planet like Rori that only has off-planet delivery missions you will spend more than you make on starship fees.
Go to Corellia or Naboo and do some inter-planet deliveries. You can pickup 2 missions to the same destination city, usually get a ticket to the more remote shuttleport for 115 credits (still in the destination city, so it's not a bad run) and then run two more to get back to your starting city.
Most shuttle ports seem to have some samplable resource while you wait for the shuttle or a Bazaar terminal to browse...
If you do what Daryth said, you can pick up around 10k credits in an hour. Most of the delivery missions between cities take about 10 minutes (little more if you get unlucky with your shuttle timing) and since you can pick up two missions at 600 cr a piece, and only cost you 120 cr to shuttle yourself over there. give it time, you just gotta find what works and what doesnt =)
hope that helps,
The datapad says nothing or the general "minerals" does any mineral do? What concentration? Do I need to bring the sample back?
Thanks for the Idea of taking on multiple deliveries to the same city. That helps a lot.
If it just says "minerals" then any mineral will do. It will also give a target concentration. Survey on any point at or above that concentration to get your payoff.
Don't run between cities, take the shuttle's. Just look at your planet map (ctrl-v) and you can figure out what city they are by the direction and distance. Than way you dont take one to a city that doesn't have a shuttle port. After you take the mission there will be a waypoint on the map.
You didn't way what planet you are on, but if you are on the one, (can't remember the name) that has only 2 cities then it is really easy..
Good luck...
Resource concentration only affects the gather rate of those resources, not the resources themselves.
