Howdy, I was(still am) doing a crafting mission. It requires me to find a 68% metal. So, I searched for awhile 'till I found a 68% sample. I've never done a surveying mission, but I thoughtthat was supposed to let me win the mission. It didn't. So, I sampled a little bit, but that didn't work either. I'm sure what I'm supposed to do to win the mission. Any help would be appreciated.

For Surveying missions you have to go quite far away from the source and I find for most of them you actually haver to travel to another planet. When you survey and it is 86% do you get a message that says Survey to Close. If that is it try another planet prefably a cheap one.

Where do you get survey and crafting missions. I can only seem to find Deliver and Destroy.

I'm on Corellia, in Coronet.

Alot of NPC's give out missions, they either give escort, destroy or survey type missions.

Talk to NPC's that are standing around - walking NPC's dont give missions.

Also, when you are out just wandering around in the wilderness you may run into a camp of NPCs... nobles, doctors, thieves, etc... Use the radial and see if converse is an option ... if it is, odds are one of them will give out a survey mission.

I've done this about 5 times now, and 4 were successful. The 5th one I could just never find the resource and was got bored lookin for it after awhile so I gave it up and went back to regular missions.
