As my title states, I'm looking for the quickest way to grind my way to Droid Engineer.

I just started as an artisan so I don't know what items I should be making to produce the most XP / per item.

A full set of bone armour will put a large dent in the xp needed - the problem is everyone has got it now so your not going to sell it in a hurry

and thats a hell of alot of resources to collect only to destroy them at the end.............

Well I'm up to Eng III just from making weapon powerups.

I am a scout as well so making bone armor won't be that hard for me. I read somewhere that you gain XP for people using the armor you make. Is this true? And if so, how does it work?

I also just setup a harvester so I'll be OK on the stuff I can't harvest as a scout.

I suggest to get good xp quick is to take the domestic line and make travel packs. They give slightly over 100 xp per and you can sell many of them for around 500 creds. Using this method i can blast through 5k of general crafting experience in 30 to 60 minutes. The other benefit of going down the domestic line is you get added experimentation to all artisian goods wich is handy if you are maknig good weapon mods which you can sell for over 300 credits each. It may take a bit longer, but it makes getting xp eaiser and makes you some money along the way.

Powerups and Fireworks until you can start making bone armor...then either have some scouting skill sor a friend who is a scout, as you'll need TONS and TONS of bone and hide. I usually go to the nearest cantina and ask if any scouts want to earn some bone armor..."100 hides and 40 bones will get you apiece of bone armor"...I just supply the rest of the stuff from my reserves...and since I'm asking for more hides/bones than needed for the pieces..I keep the leftovers and make extra bone items to sell off.

i suggest you pick up brawler and a pair of vibroknucklers.Go to anchorhead(because it's so small, unless your an imperial) and do destroy missions,on one run out i can usually get enough to buy 500 or more resources off the bazzar (sometimes i will run to other cities on tatoonine if it's a good deal). when you have alot of resources you can manually craft it all by hand or do more missions till you get 50k or so and buy a factory. If you buy a factory and place it near anchorhead you can run missions while your factory is crafting getting you gcexp and credits at the same time. using this method, manually crafting, i went from novice artisan and finished the engineering branch in one day. I made surveying devices to to eng 1, then weapon powerups to eng 2, then bone armor boots to eng 3, then bone armor helmets to eng 4.

Ya I have pistol specialist and I am running short missions out of anchorhead. I can make a good 20k in around 60 mins doing those.
