After numerous problems with the missing NPC for artisan mission's I have noticed a few things:

If you choose missions from different NPC's you have a 50% chance one of the Pick-up NPC's will be missing; If you lucked out and actually got a NPC to spawn, then there is a 100% chance one of the delivery NPC's will be missing.

If you select the same spawn point for pick-up, then you have a 5% chance for a missing spawn and a 5% chance of a missing delivery NPC.

I have also noticed that NPC's in general for these missions have a habit of spawning inside buildings (they show up on radar); sometimes the NPC will spawn nearby...so you need to check all NPC's in the area if your contact is missing.

I have been doing missions on Tat from Mos Eisley and Anchorhead. The worst spot for NPC'sspawning seems to be in the area near the AH back gate.

I'd thought this problem was only on Naritus, but I now see it on Ahazi as well; this points to a system-wide NPC spawn problem. This problem also occured BEFORE the NPC spawn change of those big NPC group's.

So, when selecting Artisan missions, set your radar to 128m and select a spawn point in range. if a NPC doesn't spawn in the waypoint abort the mission and try again. Then select another mission from the same waypoint.
