You know how dancing and entertaining takes away from the action pool..so entertainers max out their action quickness and stamina...

what about surveying? what stat does that drain?

Action and Mind with the emphasis on the mind.

surveying itself takes mind. im not sure if it takes any action. to sample, it takes both mind and action. sampling takes a lot more action than mind. the amount of mind used to sample is pretty much unnoticed.

Ham is right.. it takes mind to survey. On long survey treks I've popped a brandy so I don't have to stop and rest.

Sampling takes action more than mind, but I think it does take both. Or it could be my imagination as I usually sample right after surveying

get a bottle of brandy, and a bottle of accorgrm drink each and survey away.. eat some chandon too for a bit of a sample % chance boost : )

My stats personally are minimum mind and action just a bit higher with health maxed out, when i want to survey i take a few swigs and im golden,,

If you make it soo you have about750 in each mind pool, and 800 in each action pool you wont ever have to take a break.. Btw that is while wearing armor that takes away 300 ham i forget my exact stats. But wearing my armor i dont have much ham left maybe 100 tops in will, focus, stamina, quickness.. the drinks adds 400 to each and im good to go

the extra health gives you a much better chance of fleeing when you get jumped by maulers, and dont forget to have a pixey ready just incase,, your 300 credit fine is more than worth a missed trip to the cloner

ohh i forgot to answere the Q.. yes surveying action gets eaten a bit faster.. unless you are scaning lots of different stuff in a row, then your mind will drop faster, even on a sample you use mind and action, and survey is just mind.. even still action is used more.

Thanks for replying guys, I was stuck at the spacestation when I created the character and created him before my post was replied to. I guessed correctly though, In a way. I created a Mon cal and decided to max out all my secondaries, and I dumped the rest of the points into Health Action and Mind Equally.

I'll have to get a migration and move all the points out of health, strength and consituation and max out mind and action.
