I don't have JTL but this game has alot of stuff that can be changed and made better to it. And starting at ships is probably not that important.

ehh yea, skip the ships, id rather have astroid mining instead of orbital surveying anyway I get that info from drones : )
let us put survey modules in our land speeders soo we dont have to get out,, just use our ride-a-long buddy R2 and help us get the job done !

For us Crafters maybe there should be specialized ships.
Such as:
Repair Ships where we can dock with other ships and for a fee agreed upon by the person we are helping we can conduct repairs. Weaponsmiths could make a Weapons Repair Module to be installed on a ship, Armor Smiths could make an Armor Repair Module to be installed on a ship, Droid Engineers could make a Droid Repair Module to be installed on a ship, etc. There could be a Distress Channel that we could be monitoring to answer ships in distress.
Science ships where when in orbit around a planet (or docked at a Space Station) you can perform a scan of the planet to determine the resources, the Stats on those Resources, and the location of the Highest Concentrations, etc.
I think that these would help improve the game for crafter classes. What do you guys think?
