oh yea and it eats your survey tool I found that out lol

it takes about 50 mins, give or take, for your droid to complete it's "survey" You get an e-mail listing the current resources of the type you told it to survey. You get no stats, no waypoints or concentrations. It just tells you what is available on the planet.

When I came back from my break and saw these, I had to try one. My honest opinion, it's not really worth it. You can shuttle to the planet and survey much faster and then check on stats if you see something interesting in the time it takes just to tell you what the resources are on the planet

Yeah there usage is kind of limited. If you have a bunch of harvesters in a backwater area of a planet. And your going to be hitting other harvesters, factories, or crafting. Send one of those off to check. Its a good way to also make sure that swgcraft.com is updated. Since that site is updated by the players.

I would like it to send the numbers on the materials to. I dont need for it to show me what the concentration is. Just tell me that the polysteel is OQ1 cond900 before i make the trip.

Of course this tool also became less needed with JTL making travel faster

50 Mins? I can max mine out at about 20 to 25 mins, only 7 charges, with 10 charge ones being in the range of 45 mins.

Shipwrights like them to do a search when the new resources despawn, to learn where they moved to without a bunch of planet hopping.

They're also useful for surveying the less visited planets. Endor, Talus, Rori...

they are great i use um all the time

1, cheaper than a 9 planet hop, and lots less time. IN a way no time, well 2 mins to launch um all.

2, the give you nice neat lists, and much more up to date than swg craft, for new and stuff that shifted.

3, you can see if something you are mining on yavin is still there before you spend 10k in tickets and 20 mins just to check..

4, You can generally check all the new resources by just hitting 2-3 planets if you chose right. Soo you screw around doing what ever waiting for the report, then spend 30-45 mins surveying, and if your lucky you either find something nice to mine, or you hit the cantina for a night on the town with all the time and money you just saved you should be ready to have some fun. Dont forget to tip the entertainers, well the ones that talk to you : P

You're thinking "Interplanitary Survey Droids"

They just return the names and type of resources currently on a planet. Can be configured to check for anything there's a survey tool for.

Returns no stats or concentrations.
