Thread: Questions about Artisan?????
surveying for resources is tricky and they really don't move they shift in and out (meaning they spawn for certian amount of time then shift out and new resources come in)
but here are some tips for how to survey for resources
travel to starports major cities and player cities on all planets- most of the time when they shift the highest is in a city and spreads out from there, with time you can predict where that spawn is (not in the city) and then travel to there and begin surveying , remember resources don't always spawn on the same planet so you will need to travel
always move while surveying- always move towards the waypoint of the resource either on foot or driving , once you have reached the wp survey agian, if it is at the spot where you would like to place make sure you sample to see what the stats are on said resource
stats
what you are looking for is what the profession calls for (you can find out what DE and WS take by asking on there forums) and then searching for those resources with the highest stats
my rule of thumb is anything below 700 is no good but for grinding so i go for 700-1000 on stats that i need for my profession
i have been gathering my own resources for over a year and i find its so easy for me to find what i need after that long of gathering it will come very easy

Resouces do not shift around, they shift on to and off of planets.
You might find a very good steel Naboo but not on any other planet then again you might find it on all the planets.
Resources will stay in shift any wehre form a few days to a few weeks.
