Teaching other players the skills you have will get you Apprentice points, the higher the skill you're teaching, the more points (20 for level 2, 40 for 4...). Doesn't matter which skill, either, as you get generic Apprentice points. Next time you see someone wandering around asking for someone to teach him something you already know, you'd be doing both of you a favor...

I've gotten 1080 (or thereabouts) Apprentice points so far doing this.

FYI: You can only hold 1240 points in apprentice from teaching other people.

Until you use some, any more you get willget wasted.

I'm in dire need of Apprenticeship XP. I've traveld the whole galaxy just to get enough for Master Mark but cannot seem to get hardly any. Ppl have told me to hang out in catinas but that really hasnt paid off. Where the hell do i get all these App points? Is there really a solid way to teachskills other then to spam and randomly come across ppl who need it?

Just run around the city and set up a macro saying what skills you can teach. It's good to go to a populated place where lots of people usually come by and just hope you can find people who need stuff to be taught.

It takes time... especially now. Most of the players playing right now have been around just as long as you or longer (based on the titles I've been seeing on their name tags). By longer I mean play time since a power gamer could have started 2 weeks ago and be higher than a casual player that started a month ago (like me). As such, there aren't as many players requiring training in the lower skills. Instead I see players constantly asking for training in elite professions. Until the churn rate of the game becomes more constant, it's going to be difficult to get that AXP. Just be patient and even offer to pay for training. I got master scout (after getting master marksman) mainly because I was paying people 500 credits per skill taught. Also, if you see someone asking to train something you know, invite them to group immediately. Then /tell them and offer to teach them. This way you get the jump on most people that /tell first and then /invite. You'll get there... I did

I know that phantazer had a thread like this before that seemed to not resolve itself. It is difficult for characters on less populated servers to get this apprenticeship xp; however, it is easy for someone like me on Eclipse where people are all over the place. My only suggestion is wait around common new player hunting grounds like Tatooine and Naboo with that macro on. Sitting in cantinas and medical centers can also be a good idea as lots of people usually come through.

Let me know if you are still having difficulty with this and I might suggest that the Devs look into this for the next publish. The biggest problem that I can think of would be that they have to change the code for each server to represent the galaxy, which could be extremely difficult if not impossible.

I found a way to gain App fairly fast. All i did to obtain Master was to go to player search and look for novice marksmen in the area I was and individually asked them if they needed any Training. I got 600 app exp in just a few hrs bewteen spamming and that...def something I will continue doing in the future when needed.

The player search idea -- wow!!! I never thought about that. What a great idea -- especially from the perspective of a person who needs trainingin the less popular elite professions.

My advice to all newbies: Become multi-disciplined in the very beginning (you can dump skills as you move towards your elite profession -- a block of unused skill pointsis a waste.)That way, you can train others in many different subjects. Start accumulating axp early in your starting carrer. It was because of this strategy that I made all 620 axp before I got to my specialist skills.

Go to a starter planet, go to a busy city, hang out at the cantina. (Or quite possibly a busy bazaar terminal.) The first place I go for training is the cantina, and I am not the only one who goes there to find trainers. Don't hang out by the NPC trainers, waiting fornaivenewbies to shell out thousands of credits togo from skill level 1 to level 2. Too little axp, too much wastedtime.

******** My general suggestion for anyone who can bepatient ********

If you don't need anymore axp -- please try to find someone nearby who does need it, and give the training job to them.

For those who need training -- first ask if the person needs axp. If not, try to find someone else in the area who does. (The search player idea is such an amazing idea.)

Also, participate in big hunts. At least 2 or 3 people minimum get newer skills.

This is sound advice. I got as much training teaching people skills like engineering or surveying that I later had to surrender than I did training weapons skills. Just because you are trying to get master marksman doesn't mean you are limited to training only marksman skills. Get every skill you can until you max out and train in everything you can as well. You'll pick up low level artisan skills even if all you craft is camps.

This is where it's at. I did two big hunts, during which I advanced 6 people at least two full teirs of Scout and Marksman skills. I had given up on the "Sit-by-populated-area-and-spam" crap. Too many people doing the exact same thing. The AXP came all too quickly in the hunting party.

This is sort of a no-brainer, but it hasn't been mentioned yet:

Put your highest-level skill title over your head. Most of my apprentice xp came from out of the blue from people asking me if I could train them because they saw my title.
