I have on two occasions surveyed an area and found a deposit of 70% plus in an area, I waypointed it, went to artisan mission terminal and got a couople of missions for that mineral and went and got my credits - then went back to artisan mission terminal, - got two more missions of the same, and went back to my surveyed area, only to find that the mineral I was surveying was no longer in my data so I could not survey for it.

Is this a bug or is this the normal thing that happens when you do missions? Being very new I dont know the score - can anyone help please??

Sounds like you managed to get on top of a shift... resource shifts happen, but not in the time it takes to run one or two sets of survey missions.. You were just in the right place at the wrong time.

No, normally resources don't change just because you survey them once or twice.

It's a skip, and a relativlely lucky skip at that. I got to bypass the prowlers AND the ancient bull rancors, but I would've rather had your trial list.
