reasorces are not always around, with the exptuion of fiberplast, floral, and the new JTL stuff, (im not sure why this is.. floral and fiberplast i can see but the JTL stuff should be like all the other stuff)

Soo what this means is atlantium could show up tommorow or next month. You best bet is to contact a resources dealer, check the bazzar or talk to a crafter and possibly they will sell you some.

This is why I could never be a weaponsmith. Too many specific resources.

Anyway,there's always ore "inshift" (currently available to harvest), and there's probably always general ore types (siliclastic, carbonate, etc). It's when you get down to the really specific categories like "Alantium Carbonate Ore" that you have to rely on the luck of the draw.

www.swgcraft.com is a major site used by crafters to track resource spawns. You can search for only currently available resources, or search swgcraft's whole history for a particular type. On Chimaera, it looks like some "EehidohiAlantium ore" just unspawned a couple weeks ago, so you may be able find it on resource vendors. You could also try a WTB ("Willing to Buy") thread on your galaxy's trade forum.

Every crafter has around 24 or sorequired, named resources. Its only that weaponsmith and armorsmith are so dependant on good statistics (because no one wants 77% resist composite, or the T-21 equivalent) does it seem difficult for them to find these resources. A few resources are "rare spawns" that only show up every so many cycles.

I believe that the SW resources are all spawning simply to ensure no ships or components are gated until next year. I've noticed that none of the JTL resources are very good, at least on Starsider...

As an armorsmith, I waited half a year for a decent Beryllius (sp?) copper to spawn. When I could finally make 80% composite, I dropped armorsmith...go figure.

It will show up eventually, but may not be very good. Its always a good idea to harvest the heck out of a good resource when it appears so that you will have some material to trade or sell so you can acquire stuff you don't have...
