What is the Input Hopper on Crafting Stations used for?

And what does the higher percentage crafting station do that the lower ones don't?

Thanks!

The input hopper (which you access on a private crafting station by holding the mouse on the top option of the radial selection) is just a place where you can put components, it serves as another convenient place (other than your inventory) to hold crafting materials. You can technically store ANYTHING there you could store anywhere else, so I suppose it's good for hiding objects Its contents do count towards a house's maximum items, though it was not always that way..

As far as what the higher percentage crafting stations..some people believe it's worth something, some haven't noticed any difference between low quality and high. I don't know what to think but I got mine (in the teens and twenties) for free so I'm not complaining
