Thread: problem making 99++% armor/weapon repair tool
i tried using 927 conducitivty copper to make repair tools but the highest functional rating i can experiment to is only 95% leaving me with 1 experiment point left, but im unable to place it anywhere. and im a 4 4 4 4 artisan. so whats the problem here?
The conductivity stat limits the max percentages you can experiment to. Although I always saw the max as 1/10th of the stat, so I'd have expected your 927 cond copper to only allow experimentation to 92%. Was there a typo in either the stat value or the percentage, or maybe you misremembered? Or does the tool effectiveness depend on more than just conductivity (OQ, maybe)?
In any case, the only 99% tools I've seen were when a 998 conductivity copper spawned on my server. And I seem to recall one server getting a 1000 conductivity, so a few 100% tools got made.
1k conductivity Douse copper. It's pricey if you don't harv yourself...usually. If you have 10 experiment points, use them in the three stages at 5, 3, 2 points respectively.

Watch out when doing it in 3 stages it adds to the complexity of the item. Hence it is more expensive to insure... But maybe most don't insure their items...You should use as many experimental points up front and try to do it in 1 or 2 stages...
