Thread: What's worth crafting in Artisan?
Make vehicels you can make some credit's of those. but i think that's about it.
hmm.... vechicles and harvesters. mabye you could also make some travel packs. a lot of crafters use those
Factory crates of the MA subcomponents will still sell, regardless of whether or not the Elite crafter is also a MA.
We spend so much time with factory runs of the subcomponents we need from our trees that its is easier and faster for us to purchase the subs from artisans instead of making them ourselves. I buy them whenever I can, making them myself is always a last resort.
I run a furniture business primarily, also featuring city items. I did get master artisan first tho, but it took me a while to really focus much there.
I have just about every artisan item on one of my vendors. As suggested, a high traffic area is really key to good sales.
I've found some items sell better than others. Powerups, 99.99999% repair tools, droid batteries, speeders all sell well. Smaller ticket items like travel packs and fishing poles will bring in some small cash.
I sell only through the bazaar or in person and I make enough money to support my character in the style he desires. Batteries, powerups, crafting tools, weapon repair tools, sub components all sell well. I also sell excess resources and a fair number of back packs. I sell a vehicle now and then which is nice but I don't bust my ass to sell them. I could sell more through a vendor but I have no desire to become a slave to one.
4 charge droid batteries.
MA level subcomponents in lots of 100-1000.
High quality or rare resources (sit on em a while first).
I was wondering if its possible to run a profitable business selling only Artisan goods. What is in the Artisan profession really worth crafting?
I figure I could sell powerups (but my partner already makes a killing on these and i wouldnt want to interfere), and then of course vehicles. Maybe some jacked up personal harvestors too...but other than this stuff, what sells well for most master artisans? You can craft components that DE's and Archs use, but from what I understand, most DE's + Archs seem to also have MA and they just make their own components.
Is it possible to make money selling only artisan things? I was thinking about throwing up a couple of factories and using really nice quality resources to try to sell just high-quality artisan goods. Would this work? And other than the few things I listed above, what do you have sucess selling?
Thanks
As stated above by others, Droid Batteries sell pretty good on the Bazaars of busy towns.
Also, Master Artisan Subcomponents andCDEF crates for Smugglers.
Vehicles are good but require too many resources.
If you get Novice Tailor, crates of Synthetic Cloth.
If you get Novice Architect, crates of Torches, Generator Turbines, Structural Modules and Walls.
Dunno about Chef, WS or AS.
But I'd have to say the best way to make money is to sell resources.
You're gonna need them anyway, plus you can sell what you have left over.
FYI, Resource Sellers/Resellerslike myself will buy resources at 2-3 cpu depending on what it is.
I buy all Ore at 2.5cpu.
On a 50% concentration, with 8 medium harvesters, you would have roughly 400K of Ore in a week.
If you sell it all at 2.5 cpu, that's 1 million credits.
It costs 50K a harvester to buy one, but heck, you could pay that off in a few days.
The key is not to get 8 types of different resources.
Try to get a large chunk of a single resource and sell it all at once.
