on your harvestor when it says 3 kg/hr is that 3000 units per hour?

(.xx)*(BER)*(24)*(60) = units per day
where .xx is the concentration in decimal form and BER is the base extraction rate of the harvester you're using

no idea i think the 3 kg/h is useless then.
my harvester says 5kg/h but my BER is 1.
So nowhere does the 5kg/h fit in. Maybe its something to do with power consumption. You think they could stick to science and not use *cough* gay metrics or whatever it is. and /h means per hour so I dont know where they are going with a 5kg per hour thing.
*shrug* maybe its supposed to be eye candy.

well if kg = kilograms then it is refering to the weight of resources you will be hauling in on that harvester ..but since the weight of resources has no bearing on the game etc... ( at least none that i can see) then it is like you said eye candy... unless of course someone knows something more along these lines ... i'm all ears hehe
