Have you tried picking up and re-dropping the broken station? The packup process might've screwed up the "zone of influence" where you can use the station's functionality. Although that might mean that someone standing at your old house location can experiment or make a schematic from a phantom station.

That's an interesting theory.
I'd like to test that.
I'd like to test that.
Drop a house with a crafting station and mark the exact coordinates of the station.
Pick the house up and then try to craft something without a droid while standing where the crafting station was.
Does it treat the zone as if it was a crafting station?

I can say for sure the 'ghost' theory is present ingame
I am a frequent cloner of 'nearest clone' where the center no longer is,
so I would not be surprised one bit that a station placed and 'loaded' with server can be packed and the effects still remain for use.

You just need to run faster.
Run?!?! Why in the world would I do that?

I packed up my house with my crafting stations in it so i could move it to a better location...now i have found that they don't work...they are useless. to test this i created a new crafting station and it worked fine. so if you are gonna use house pack-up don't pack up your crafting stations in your house you might lose their functionality. I'm not to happy cuz my 43.00General, Architect, and starship crafting stations are now useless. so now i'm in the process of creating new ones, which is kinda a pain.

This same thing has been metioned in the Architect forums as well, I believe it was even worthy of a sticky. Someone may care to cross refrence. I cant figure out how to make clickies.
