Hi, i am trying to configure my macro, but i just cant seem to find the right number. I am using a Weapon and Droid tool, next to a station of the same kind, and am trying to craft metal staffs. But no matter what i try, the selected number is always wrong.

HELP!!!

This is a fairly common problem, especially since the patch that changed the way in which data within our datapads is sorted. It used to be that you could count through your datapad and figure out what a particular schematic number was, unfortunately this is no longer the case.

Under the current system, the only way to determine the schematic number for any particular item is through trial and error. Furthermore, each individual will havea different schematic number because the numbers are determined by what skills you have and the total number of draft schematics available to you.

But wait, it gets even better! Under the new system, the draft schematic numbers change every time you train a new crafting skill! Because you're adding new draft schematics to your datapad, it offsets everything and renumbers all of them! It is possible that the schematic number might stay the same, but from what I've heard it is fairly rare.

Basically, trial and error is the way to go. It's tedious and annoying, but unfortunately that's the way it is. Sorry I don't have better news for you.

Good luck!
