Thread: What happens to ya vendor if you drop aristan?

Just wondered if anyone has dropped aristanwithvendors still in their houses, kind of interested as to know what happens to the vendor, does it vanish? does it still work? does it stay broke? any ideas people?

If you have a vendor then drop required skills to mantain vendor {at any level art or merch}
1. you cannot add anything to vendor for sell
2. you cannot relist anything from stockroom
the vendor does not poof but you can't 'interact' with it.
all items up for sell, at end of for sell time, will fall into stockroom for you to retrieve and that is it, you cannot place any others items on vendor.
Haveing items up for sell on a vendor you do not have skill for may interfear with your limit you can set on bazaar, as limit amounts are tied to your skill.
Even artisan vendors fall under Merchant, it is explained well in the forum.

It wasnt the storage vendor i really wanted to keep, just a drop-of vendor, so much easier than trying to meet up with a seller, especially if ya live in different time zones

What about other merchant abilities, such as signs or vendor customizations?
say I've got Hiring IV and Management IV, I customize my vendors, put down a sign, and then drop those skills. Will the sign disappear, and will my vendors lose their customizations?

I used to have Merchant 0300, and have since dropped back to Novice. Vendor barking options no longer appear on the NPC control menu, but my vendors still bark the same greeting I set when I had the skill.
