I'm a little confussed by this. Does it mean when you come to experiement, how many points you have to experiment with? I'm human so shouldn't I be 15 point and have 15 experiment, but most of the time I only have 11. And what tapes are good to get more Artisan points? I'm mainly making Artisan foods, I wear a Chef Apron with the stats Food Assembly:5 and Food Experimentation : 5 but still only get 11 points to experiment with.

There is currently someone on Dant, in the Mining Outpost on Gorath claiming to be a 14 point Artisan making 14 point Artisan food.

I would like to get to 14 points but what tapes would I need? If I stuck them in the chefs apron would they count seen as the apron already has stats? It has 2 sockets.

You get 1 useable experimentation point for every 10 points of experimentation skill. As a human master artisan you will have 115 experimentation so will get 11 points, thus you are an 11 point artisan. With +25 in seas you will have 140 points of experimentation and thus be a 14 point artisan with 14 points of experimentation.

Also artisan foods dont use food assembley/experimentation. You need artisan experimentation points to get them. Assembley is just a success rate modifier, it wont give any extra experimentation points.

Its note useless, its great if you take up the chef proffession. Sadly there isnt an apron available for artisans. Seas are clothing and armour attachments, although if your a pure crafter only clothing attachments are useful as you cant wear any armour. The give bonuses to various skills and you put them in clothing/armour to get the bonus. You need a total of +25 spread across all your clothes to get the full available bonuses as a human (anything more than +25 does nothing)

i have just become a 14 point artisan and i was a disbeliever til i saw the 14 points. but i had to put on lots of clothes with 1 or 2 point sea's and on that was given to me that was a 16 point for artisan experimentation. Hey...will trade one +1 artisan experimentation grenaders belt for gloves that have +1 artisan experimentation. HEHE...the reason is the grenaders belt make it look as thou i am wearing a hola hoop...i look so tacky that way.

Is there an easier way to locate skill tapes or seas(whatever that is) in the bazaar? I saw clothing attachments but the bazaar is just a total mess. I spent 2 hours sifting through endless clothing attachments listed in the Vendors just to find ONEapron with artisan exerimentation points.

Afterlooking at the prices on the Corbantis server, it was ridiculous... one person wants 350K for an apron with +1 artisan assembly, then another person wants 50K with an apron with -1 artisan assembly. Are there ppl out there who CAN make these on a regular basis or are artisan aprons like an elite clothing that requires extra uber skills to make? The selling prices for them just make to sense at all ot me.

Also, why haven't I seen many aprons with more than one skill point? I see +1, but nothing higher than that.

try getting some people together and do aukain champion missions on talus...sorry for the spelling. i have 5 pieces of clothing with +1 or +2 artisan clothing and a shirt with a +16. if you want you can, if you are human, get 5 +1 artisan eperimentation and you will be a 12 artisan. it is still good and more realistic to shoot for. then work the creds up to where you can buy the higher plus stuff. i am only lucky becausetwo of the Ghetto Residents took pitty on me and supplied me with a +2 and a +16 CA, the others i collected from the bazzaar over time plus the clothing with sockets available.

i too tried to find BE clothing with skill mods on them but i have been informed that there are no BE clothing for artisan.

Also ask around on the trade forum for your server. Sorting through everything on the bazaar is a very inefficient process. It might be worth asking in your trade forum if anyone has some they'd be willing to sell.

Look for skill tapes (clothing attachments). You'll have more success than looking for an apron. The tapes will be expensive though. 350k per assembly point seems pretty high to me, but I don't really know your server. What you really want are attachments that have + experimentation modifiers. These are usually more expensive than assembly modifiers.

I think the trade forum is probably the most reliable way to find these. After that, searching through the bazaar takes forever, but should yield good results. Make sure to look through the 'vendor listings' tab, not just the normal bazaar. Or just spam up one of your server's major cities. People don't like the spam, but unfortunately it's one of the only ways to find what you want until SOE makes the bazaar search more useful.
