Thread: KG/H for harvestors?

I take KG / H as the hourly rate of a harvestor. I have one that is operating at 0.8 KG/H (well many actually) which to me seems to means 800 units of a resource an hour. After a day now I only have 1130.

Is this a problem with the last patch or a misunderstanding on my part?

Thanks

Actually, it is the units per minute that the harvester can extract.

And since there's 1440 minutes in a day ... .8 * 1440 = 1152 ... very close to your 1130.

Ok so at 0.8 KG/H I should get 48 units and hour, 1152 a day... I can now see why resources are so hard to come by!

Thanks

KG/H is power not units extracted...

If this were true, harvesters would have a variable power requirement based on the concentration of the resource. Maybe you're thinking kW/h or kilowatt/hours ... which, to my knowledge, is not a measure in the game.

I heard somewhere else that the value was actually more like this. If you have an actual extraction rate of 3.23 kg/h, then you'd get 323 units extracted per hour. I'm not sure if that is actually the case though. Not sure if that is the way it is, or if it works the way these people are saying.

Straight from the Artisan FAQ (at the top of the forum and emphasis added):

Q: Is there a set formula to find out how much resources can be harvested in one day? ( example: resource density % * Harvester size (small,med,large)*24 hours = the amount you harvest in one day )

A: The rate given by the harvesters (i.e. "2 kg") is in units per minute. So personals 2 / minute, medium 4 / minute, heavy 7 / minute. 1440 minutes in a day. So personal 2880 units / day, medium 5760 units / day, heavy 10080 units / day. This is on a 100% spot, for smaller percentages multiply by the fraction you find. So if you land on a 58% spot it's 2880 * 58 / 100 for personal harvester or 1670.4 units per day.
