Thread: Do survey tools actually decay?

I see the message about it when I die but there doesn't seem to be any way of seeing how much a tool has decayed when you examine it.
I guess I could die 20 times and see what happens but don't really fancy that ![]()

If it doesnt have a condition stat then I dont see how it can decay

Just because it doesn't show a condition doesn't mean it doesn't have a condition.

I have found out first hand that they take damage, has anyone actually lost any though once they reached 0?

This is a deffinate issue. If they are destroyed at 0% then they should have a condition rating. If not then they shouldn't be insurable. It's a waste of money.
On tools not having a condition: I reported this as a bug on test center, but it wasn't fixed. Instead weapons were exempted leading to a horrable situation we have now where figters can get all the bennefit with none of the risk.

I don't think weapons are supposed to decay as they already decay through use unlike survey tools.

Armor decays through use and through death, so why should weapons be different?
Bigger issue should be repair still fail too much and when you succed it comes out lower than what the damage on it was
