I came across some of this, normally I wouldn't care, but when I went to the insurance place, they were asking a huge amount to insure it compared to anything else I have. Does anyone know what this is used for, and who would be interested in buying it?

Used for building, for powering harvesters... Someone may want it.

The cost to insure something is related to its Complexity for made items (so those experimented stim packs are a lot more expensive than the out of the box stuff). But at the moment, I can't recall if resources have a complexity rating, or if would just be based on the number you have in the container and the overall stats of the resource.

The newbie death stopped today, Lrak. You now have to insure everything that you have, or it is left on your corpse.

Actually, you can only use three types in harvesters that I have seen so far; Wind, Solar and Radioactives. Solid petrochem can't power harvesters.

Hello all,

I am just getting going w/ Surveying and I came across some Solid Petrochem Fuel. It is Overall quality 647, Decay Resistance 793 and Potential Energy 2. Is this a good resource and what is it used for?

Armorsmiths use it in composite armor. I got an offer of 150CPU on 6K units of 889OQ. Not sure at that OQ. It's worth stockpiling though.
