Just a suggestion I'd love you pass along, if possible.

It'd be real spiffy if there could be an item, say a Data Disc or the like, that could be crafted and allows for an option to insert a readable portion, a la the Monthly Event discs. In effect, allowing players to publish information in-game. Whether this be a business card, or guild rules, or price lists, or just stories. Sort a SWG version of the Guttenberg Press. I realize that this would require an additional window/step during crafting or perhaps on the radial menu of the item, and perhaps an additional burden for the database of servers, but if feasible, I think would provide additional player generated content.

I know there are a lot of important issues the devs need to focus on, but if they had the time to consider this in the future... Could be fun.

Merely another crazy idea out of my addled brain.

/agree

There's a great many simmilar ideas that can all offer a nice bit of utility. It would be very nice to be able to automate emails and such. The ability to copy & sell / offer waypoints. Email folder ITEMS to store text (like notepad, but they live in a datapad... immagine that).

Crafting datapads / datadiscs would be wonderful. A nice roleplaying item and it would give master artisan (electronics) something else to craft.

/thank Ifele

(heck, I'm surprised you could take time out from that flamewar that is the Intrepid Forum to get to this. So, I'm very much obliged.)

Now, what is the likelihood of these ideas and suggestions (including mine, naturally) getting to the ears (or rather, computer screens) of the Powers That Be?

1) When is there not a flamewar on Intrepid?

2) The step from you to me to the correspondant & dev forum is pretty close to 100%.
