Thread: VERY NOVICE artisan
i used a holocron yesterday and it said master artisan, i hear its easy but for someone who has only crafted camps, traps, and stims i dont know what im doing, what am i in for? got any tips? marcos? etc. any good info you could pass on would be great, thanks!!

what i did to get crafting part, is i made the wind surveying tool, over and over, until i could make a wind harvester or flora farm. Those give 446 xp. Make sure you use practice. The surveying has been the trouble for me

I just started and was fortunate to get some help. Had some buddies in game that gave me around 5k steel. Not good quality, but good for grinding stuff. If you can't get this, you'll need to run missions and maybe buy it.
1. Survey and find anything that has decent numbers. (found a 95% Gixee gas) You can craft the survey devices w/ general craft tool.
2. Sample, sample, sample. While sampling, I crafted cdef pistols and later weapon/armor repair kits. You'll want more than 1 crafting tool so you don't have to wait til it's finished to do another item.
3. While healing from the sampling...continue crafting above. (In practice mode, so you don't have to destroy)
When you get to the next level, get the training asap. There's a cap on how much exp you can collect before training is required. I made the mistake of continuing to craft while waiting for a friend to get online and train me. I don't know how much exp I wasted.
As you're sampling/crafting, you're getting exp in both. If you happen to find a resource of high quality, tell a friend. They can place a harvester and possibly share the output.
I've never had any trouble getting training. The people that train you get apprentice exp towards master whatever. If a friend can't do it, go to a populated area and ask. Usually you'll have the training in a matter of a minute.
