It's a bug I'm getting too, even just using one or two. I've tested it by opening one and sure enough, sometimes even that first one is cancelled.

Bug or feature here's the way it works for me.

I start a crafting session and finish all the windows...

The "countdown" to a prototype starts for that tool -- say 20 seconds.

I start a second crafting session and then...

If I don't get out of the windows for that session before the countdown on the earlier session reaches zero then the open session is closed with the message the original poster was getting. Any session hitting zero closes an open session.

So you can keep as many crafting tools running as you can set up before the first one counts down to zero.

I've had this problem on Chimera, but NOT ever on Tarquinas.

I can start 2 crafting sessions, but after that I get (seemingly) random problems.

Some times just a system msg saying "Crafting session ended", sometimes "This item could not be completed", sometimes "The item could not be customized: not in cusatomization step".

NOT exact quotes, I can't remember the bug report I posted.

Wait a minute, start 2 more sessions.

Wait a minute, start 2 more sessions.

VERY annoying if you are trying to use more that 2 tools to grind while running survey missions or whatever.

As I said, it happens on one server but not on another server.

"When Sony and Lucas set out, we said, How can we do this and not make another EQ? We didn't want it to be all about Luke, or combat, or lock our players into a class. So we created a system that would allow players to switch professions during the game, and there would be a lot of gameplay around making that change. If you want to go from architect to scout we've created a system to make that happen."
