Thread: Possible bug w/ NEW crafting tools?
I just confirmed this with a couple different people, seems that with *older* crafting tools you were allowed to complete crafting on one tool, them move on to the next tool while waiting for the previous CT to dump the output hopper. Now, and seems just recently, new (made within the last week as far as I can see) CT's, the crafting station will end when the timer on the previous CT get's to 0? I have tested this myself and have found this to be true. I have 3 (we'll call them pre-nerf) CT's that I am able to keeps crafting fromone to another, no interruption. I crafted 3 new CT's and time after time in the middle of the second/third crafting session, when the timer goes to 0 on the first CT, the session ends, every time. Anyone else got a few minutes, or have had this happen to them, that can confirm? (I will be posting on other forums as well) We need to find out if this is a *bug* or something to curb the "crafting macroing jedi wannabees"?
Thanks all in advance.
I'm seeing this exact same problem and it's driving me crazy. My crafting tools seem to up and exit as I'm selecting the schematic or adding resources while grinding with several different tools at once. I haven't checked on the relation between the timers hitting 0 on the other tools, but I'll definitely look into it further tonight.
I was grinding on the generic crafting tool for artisan XP, using the "finish" macro commands after adding resources. I originally thought I was lagging and the finish commands from the previous button press were interfering, but I'm thinking that the timer hitting 0 on the other tools is a much more likely situation.
Maybe I'll try a different schematic to grind on and see if it does the same thing. Perhaps this is only a problem when creating the crafting toolbox.
I made weapon tools up to engineering 2 I think, then water survey tools up to engineering 3, after engineering 3, nothing but mineral harvesters to master(costly but fast). About 15 minutes later I had enough xp to finish artisan. Although I probally could have settled for something less as I had nothing to do during thecouple of hours whensurveying, found a decent 88% spot in town though.
Oh forgot to mention I did this last night, all with new tools I made myself. So I don't know what to tell you.
Daidoji, I think this is only a problem when crafting the actual crafting tools themselves...not the survey tools. I'm going to check into this a bit more when I get home and stuff though. I'll post back up here with what I find. I might just switch to something else to grind for a bit until I'm out of artisan and into the elite field I'm shooting for. ![]()
yup, you're right on the money.
my observations:
- if you are creating a crafting tool (I saw it with general and food), when the build timer hits 0...the infamous "session has ended" screen comes up and the tool crashes.
- I created a flora survey device and it did not end the open session when the timer hit 0.
So, the moral of the story is to grind on something other than crafting stations ![]()
