I used to play an Artisan, but then I drifted away from it, and now I am getting back into it. A lot has changed in the months that I was gone. I ran into a problem with my Harvesters that I am not sure if it is the way it is supposed to work now, or a known bug, or something new.
With my Personal Harvesters I always used to, when I was finished with them, let them run out and destroy them rather than redeeding them since I liked getting the XP from building the new ones, and I usually have more resources than cash. So, I have had six Wind Harvesters going, since I wasn't needing much else, but thought it would be nice to have some power reserves set aside when I was in need of other resources. Yesterday I checked on them and they had five hours of maintenance left. I decided to keep four of them, but I wanted the lots from the other two, so I paid up the maintenance for another day on four of them. Six hours later I came back, and the four I had paid up were working fine and had Wind Energy in the hoppers. The two that I had not paid up should have run for five of the last six hours, but had absolutely noting in their hoppers. I do not understand what happened. This isn't how it used to work, is this how it works now? Is this by design? Please, someone who has stayed current on this topic, enlighten me!

Not sure how it used to work as I got into resource dealing late. I did notice the other day that my maintenance ran out and the harvester took some damage and when I clicked to turn it on it said I had to repair it first. So maybe you can't have a working harvester anymore unless its at 100% condition?

Well, they do quit harvesting when they run out of maintenance. (At the very beginning that was not true. They would continue harvesting as they burned down. That had already been fixed by the time I got out of it.) I did try repairing one of my damaged ones yesterday to see if maybe I just wasn't going to be allowed to retrieve anything unless it was in 100% condition, but that didn't help. I should have had those five hours worth, before the maintenance ran out, but there was nothing.
On yours that was damaged, when you accessed the hopper, did it have the resources you expected in it?

It's a bug in the "catch-up" code....
If noone's around, the harvesters don't actualy 'exist' in game. I've got out to harvesters, after 3 days away, and 1 day after a shift... should of had 2 days worth of resources, right? most of the time... it does. sometimes, poof, it's empty. apparently the code that's suppose to determine how much you get, sees the resouce is gone, the harvester was off, and decides you must not of gotten any resources. Mind you, it still takes your power and mainentance, you just get nothing for it. And yes, I know maintenace keeps going anyway, but the power is only consumed while it's running.
Very annoying bug, especialy when you're expecting another 20K of a resource you know you might go another 2 months or longer before you see it again.

Okay, that sounds like it! In this case, the resource hadn't even shifted, the Maintenance had just run out. Still sounds like the same bug, just a different cause. How frequently does that happen? Once in a blue moon? Or often enough I need to make sure I get there before my maintenance runs out every time?
