Thread: New harvester bug?

I have 6 harvesters. They are all out of power and down to 30 credits maintenance. None of them are on - they all shut down when they ran out of juice this afternoon, as I expected. I have emptied them all of resources. The vein I was mining is taped out (resource roll-over). When I try to destroy the things I get the message "You must first empty the harvester's hopper before you may destroy it or reclaim the deed". Trust me, the hoppersare empty. I've checked 3 times each!!!


Has anyone else seen this?

Had the same thing happen to 4 harvesters this morning. You have to make sure you have at least a few units of power and maitenance credits in it, then turn it on and then turn it off. Double check the hopper is empty and then destroy it

This is an old bug

Sorry to ask the obvious - but if this is such an old/known bug, why hasn't it been fixed?


Also, if fixing is not going to happen in a timely manner - perhaps someone could sticky all the known bugs and their work-arounds? I encountered this particular one too, and spent a good half hour messing with the harvester until I stumbled on the add maintenance/power fix.

Buugli... since you've known for a while that cold fusion is the ultimate efficient energy source why haven't you made a cold fusion reactor yet?

In the lastest test center notes it seems they adding that command to the UI on harvesters. So to answer your question, it has been fixed and is in the next big publish.

Noticed since last patch that if a resource shifts, when I open the harvester window, the unit is still running. I can't select stop harvester and have it actually update the screen. If I do select stop, then close the dialog, then reopen it, the unit now show stoped. I can then select a new resource and start the unit properly.


I have not verified that it is eating power when it is in this state. I will wait for the next shif of resources, leave one harverster in that state, then check it to see if it has used power.


Anyone else seen this?

Yes, I have seen it several times. Never noticed if it was actually using energy during those times.
