Thread: Vehicle quality ratings?

I have just started a vehicle shop on scylla server. One suggestion I got was to list the quality rating of my vehicles so people would know what they are buying. I have throughly "examined" my own personal vehicle (which I also made for myself) but can't find any stat that would indicate how long my vehilce can go for before needing a trip to the garage. I could list the complextity rating I acheived before crafting the final product, though I doubt that would have any meaning to any non-artisans. I could turn the deeds into vehicles and list their resitances to viarous types of damages, though that still isn't quite what I'm looking to find out. A little help here?

Well, first of all, vehicle hitpoints are as of now bugged and every vehicle, that wasn't made pre patch, will have 1500 HP

When they work again I would recommend you reading the thread at this URL: http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=artisan&message.id=26581

Very good description at how much HP vehicles have ( I presume they will go back to that when they are fixed)

Another thing good to know, is that vehicles decay at different rates. I.e, Landspeeder, being the most durable but the slowest vehicle, takes only 8 or 16 damage at a time, while a swoop being the least durabel, takes 25 or 50 damage at a time.

Note: I would recommend you sell them all on a CPU (credits per unit) basis until the bug gets fixed. A good way to sell more stuff, is to look around at your planet what other people sell for, and then charge just a tad lower (unless the others sell extreamely low, then you shouldn't sell those )

Yeah, I saw that myself today. The question is, what am I supposed to do with the vehicles I've crafted? I acheived master artisan during the bug period. I never even knew there was a bug until I read the vehicle guide on this forum. I suppose I could sell those vehicles at reduced prices, but I'd feel bad at having second rate merchandice on my vendor even if I was selling it cheap. *sigh* I guess there's nothing for it but to re-stock my vendor. There go my stockpiles.

Thought you might be interested to know that vehicles are supposed to be fixed now, and they seem to be going on the same HP as before the bug. On another note, I don't play on scylla, so I won't drop by

The fix is in for all newly crafted vehicles, if you craft a new one it will be at a normal HAM. No word on what they're going to do about all the junk vehicles with 1500 HAM out there

Speardancer Master Artisian, Shipwright and 12pt Armorsmith *cancelation pending*
Garlyn, Master Tailor and 11pt Chef *Canceled, last day Apr. 24th*
Motas, Master Scout and Carbineer *Canceled, last day June 16th
*Waited 1 year for a combat fix, and all I got was this lousy T-Shirt*

You can always try to sell them cheap to newbies. They won't mind getting a cheap vehicle since they tend to be poor, even if it's just 1500 HP, and you get some refund. Win-win
