Questions for folks about out-of-game crafting tools -- calculators and the like...
Do you use them?
If you do
What are they (spreadsheets, calculators, ...)
What do you use them for (calculating factory resource needs, ...)
How do you use them (Hot key out of the game, between games, separate machine, ...)
It should be fun to find out what people are doing to manage their crafting.

I tried to use a crafters assistant spreadsheet once, way to complicated for me 
Gave up and did it the 'ol fashion way.

Yes.
Spreadsheets mostly, I've used Fooman's Weaponsmith tool and the Crafting Assistant spreadsheet. Mostly to find out how good an item will turn out with certain combination of resources, also for some inventory management.
Hot key out of the game.. been contemplating on getting a second monitor to do this on

I created a crafting worksheet in Excel..to find out someone did it already. Check out SWGCraft.com to see theirs...though i still use mine since i made it... creator's pride...
