It seems like I just put down harvesters, and then the resources shift, and then I can't find another source of power. Does anyone have any suggestions, tips and/or tricks for being able to keep a steady flow of power coming in? I really appreciate any help I can get.

Check the power harvester (fusion ion, wind or solar, which ever one you're using) daily. You don't have to retrieve the power, just check them. Soon as it shifts find a good spot and then you should have at least 3 days and more like a week or two before it shifts again.

My tip would be to stick with one planet for your power. Watch SWGCraft for power on that particular planet, check your mineral survey tool from time to time. If you see a fresh spawn in your tool first or you see a new entry on the website, you know you are getting on the spawn from the start. Pay at least 5 days maintenance, voila sit back, come back in 5 days or just check your survey tool to see if its gone. When it gets depleted, a new source will be up shortly, rinse and repeat.

Each radioactive mineralshifts on a 7-10 day schedule, and there's usually no more than one such mineral available on a server at any one time - sometimes two, very rarely three. You don't really even need to go out to your fusion gens every day. Just open your survey tool and check the list, if the mineral you're harvesting is still on the list, you're good to go.

When the shift comes, pull them up and set them down on the new mineral immediately. Then you KNOW you won't have to check again for at least 7 days if you don't want to. Once you get the timing down, it's not such a big deal.

I have a BER 13 and a BER 24 fusion, with those on a good concentration I can pull over 200k of radioactives. That is enough to feed my machinery for a while. Check swgcraft.com regularily, they don't always update as soon as a resource appears, but they are generally pretty good.
