Hi all

I am new to SWG and need some info and help. I have started an Artisan and are now 3/1/0/4 in that profession. I just reached level 3 in enginering which gives me the ability to craft deeds for wind generator, personal extractor etc etc. But if I use my crafting device I can only see the deed for wind generator is available. Something wrong or do I need to build a wind generator before the other deeds becomes available??? Also, why can't I use the public crafting stations???

Since I am depending on crafting items, both for sale and for my XP, What should I craft??? What sells???

Most important is how do I get the harvesters??? since I need resources, I would like to get them a little quicker than sampling the standard way.

Thanks in advance.....

You need to use a Structure Crafting tool & Station to build the harvester.

For getting trough artisan crafting fast, craft wind harvester in practise mode.

For Artisan sales i cant help you, i guess the best way would be to harvest ressources and to sell them on the bazaar...

As far as using the public crafting stations is concerned you "use" them by simply standing next to them and crafting with the appropriate tool. For instance: standing next to a Structure and Furniture crafting station while using a Structure and Furniture crafting tool. There are some items that require you to stand next to a crafting station in order to craft them. Additionally, standing next to a crafting station also allows you to experiment on your items to improve them and make factory schematics if you want to mass produce something.

If you're creative you can sell almost anything. I made 100 sets of chance cubes once and sold them for 2,000cr per set in one evening because I named them "Loaded Dice" (that's a total of 200k for the mathematically challenged).Everyone knew they weren't loaded, but they bought them as display pieces because they liked the joke. My three best sellers were traditionally:

  • Highly experimented weapon and armor repair tools. If you can get their effective rating into the 90% range they'll sell fairly well on the bazaar.

  • High quality crafting tools.

  • Vehicles. People mostly prefer swoops, but there is also some demand for speederbikes and landspeeders.

I made most of my money from vehicles; I mass produced vehicles for the better part of a year and never lacked customers. I "retired" a few months ago and, while I do miss it, I'll never have to worry about money again for as long as I play. Don't let anyone tell you that artisans can't make money, it's just not true.

Good luck!
