Could someone tell me what I need to do increase the range limit of my survey tool?

I started as novice artisian and looked at the option: 64m was the max I could choose.

I then bought 2 * +18 Surveying BE clothing: 64m was the max I could choose.

I then learned Surveying I: 64m was the Max I could choose.

Am I screwing up somewhere here?

Your range increase as you go up the surveying line of Artisan.
Not sure what the BE mod will do, perhaps an increased chance of getting a decent sample?

BE surveying clothes are completely broken at the moment, as far as i can tell

Infinity:
Atan Schmitz (Retired Master Droid Engineer, whatever SOE calls him)
Traal (Bounty Hunter, 13 confirmed Kills)
Currently looking into renewing my Subscription.
It is tentavely scheduled for Publish 29, but it might be pushed back to "soon"©

ok you get your first range increase at surveying 2 and

your final increase at surveying 4

each box increases your surveying ability and your chance of recovering large sample quanties

get also the FS survey tree and you will be 384m

Thanks everyone.

Id love to know if the devs intended that BE clothing does not increase the range you can choose or if this is a bug... Afterall the "surveying" tool tip says that an increase in this skill mod increases the range of scans.

To answer my own question:

BE clothing is bugged, however +Surveying food is not. (according to the BE forums) So you can increase your range by eating + Surveying food.

You have to right click on your tool and reset the range.
