Hello again,

I was wondering, how much difference to my crafting a good cratfing tool and crafting station would make?
I have a +14 tool and a few +44 stations, what is the "+" for? I've had a look in the FAQ section of the
forum and can't see anything that tells me.

cheers,

The "quality" of the tools and station have an effect on your chances of getting better success types on the initial assembly and experiments. So using a +14 tool / +44 station you have a better chance of a "great" or "amazing" success than if you were using -10 tool / -20 station. Research Center player cities (a city specialization that can be chosen by the mayor),Pyollean Cake / Bespin Port (chef items that buff assembly/experimentation success) and "Force Experimentation" skill boxes from the Force Sensitive quests also improve your chances. And your +Artisan Experimentation and +Artisan Assembly skill mods also affect your chances.

The big question that has never really been answered is how much these numbers affect your odds. But most crafters tend to the opinion that any bonus is good (especially on experimentation), and try to get the best quality tools they can.

For tailor, it really doesn't matter. There is no experimentation and generally you're not going to lose a load of resources if you crit fail.
