Thread: A question about vehicle customization kits

Ok, can anyone give me an idea of what a good number to shoot for with the Control Units is then, as well as the droid parts.

as far as i can tell, what is most important is still the metal you use, not the subcomponents


i've gotten 9 use kits out of quality 2 control units and i can't tell what the results are with the droid storage units...i have used them from 2 different DE's and gotten the same results

I dont think the qualtiy of subcomponents make much differnce. I can make these with pretty mediocre resources and get up to 7 uses, but i tend to go for 8 use as you pretty much always need 2 uses for a customisation anyway (trim and frame). These arent worth a lot of money so its not worth throwing your best stuff at for the sake of 1 more use.

The control units definatly do not matter for the # of uses. Only the CD/OQ of the resources do, if you use resources to get around 80% experimentation you'll wind up with 8 use kits.

You dont need to hit 80% quite, ive hit 79% and had 8 use kits, ive also hit 71% and had 7 use kits, anyone know what the boundary is exactly?

76+ is 8 uses I'm pretty sure.


-75 is 7 uses.

I tend to use junk resources that give me around 3 or 4 uses. Enough for 1 full customization, then an extra 1 or 2 in case they change their mind. Keeps people's inventories from getting cluttered, and a 9 use customization kit won't fetch much more than a 3 use one. But, if I have left over good stuff, I made higher use kits and price them a tad higher. Giving people a choice shows that you know some people like customizing all the time, some just want one quick change.

I was hoping someone could help me out here. I know that they take a control unit, but does the quality of the control unit matter in terms of the customization kit? I can get the Control Units to +1, but I dont wanna settle for that if I should/could use better and get a better end-result. Thanks for any answers anyone can provide.

Better components increase the number of times the kit can be used.

Actually I've sold 9 use kits for 10k on 3 differnet servers.. price depends on server..
And Contrul units can be any quality. I have used the bazzar vendor search for cheapest ones avalible (crates of 25) to save time and they come out the same.

Best use is to use Lub Oil for Chem, Grind Gemstones for Meneral adn High CD Copper or steel for the metal.(CD=900 or better)

This will produce a 9 use Kit.

really using good stuff on this is a waste.. total crap copper will give you 4 uses.. how often are you going to paint more than 2 at one time anyway?? for 500 credits. cheap paint kits are the way to go..


No one is gonna hang on to this thing for 1-2 months taking up a slot of inventory..people by a ride, and a kit they paint it and destroy the the kit.. its pretty much how it works 20,500 gets ya a kit and a ride at my place.. people seamed to like it

i'm always going to go for the higher uses regardless of whether the customer destroys it or not...this is what i do. its a matter of being able to say its a 9 use kit. they sell well so i'm happy


i sell the crap copper...i don't make stuff with it
