Thread: Why Macro sample when setting sample as default action does the same thing ?

Troops hi


New here, but back in the SWG as an artisan. Reading a lot about using Macros, in particular for sampling. What is the difference between this and just letting the default action plug away.


It works for me and I should hit Survey IV later today

In a nutshell...



Default action causes popups that need to be cleared manually before you can continue to sample - ergo you must be at the keyboard


Macro sampling allows you to circumvent the popups and you don't need to click them - ergo you can play afk or overnight or whatever.

/ui action defaultButton; will clear those stupid pop ups that you get while sampling. If you didn't clear them you would stop sampling.



(please correct me if the command is wrong)
