Thread: Help a noob learn something
If you have good resources... you can make Repair Tools and Power-ups. Those have served me very well over the years, and have given me quite a nice nest-egg to expand into Weaponsmith. However, you really need top notch resources or people probably won't buy them, so this option may not be best for you...
Two somewhat easier sources of income are running Space missions (decent credits per kill, and space loot sells very well to either the Chassis Dealer or to shipwrights) or selling Resources. Find a resource that may be in high demand and sell it to a target market. Also, having Scout skills will help to gather creature resources. The market for creature resources has dwindled a little, but people will still pay 10-25 cpu for good hide (look for high OQ, SR and DR hides) and good meat (look for high OQ, PE and DR meat).

Here's my short guide for new playermoney making as a Master Artisan
Part1: Bazzar
You have a 25 item limit on the bazzar. USE it!!!
Top Sellers:
a: Craft tools - 2 of each until you know which ones sell more. then just make them( 13.xx sells at about 4500 and 14.xx at 5-6k on most servers)
b: Vehicle Customization Kits - These sell from 5-10k depending on server, for 9 uses.
c: Clothing sells good between 1-4k depending on slots., but I usually fill up 25 item limit fast.
Sell the vehicle customization kits at high population cities.
I sell 5 per city on:
1: Theed, Naboo
2:Coronet, Corellia
3: Mining Outpost, Dantooine
Crafting tools and clothing at Mos Eisley or Bestine because these are newbie towns, they sell best here.
I can’t recommend Swoops, If your wanting to save your materials for WS. 6400 + 1600 = 8k resources for 20k. Craft tools are 44 recourses and bring in 4.5 to 6k.
The new vehicles take fewer resources but I prefer to make top quality vehicles not the 1000 hitpoint crap that has been selling on the Bazzar.
Make extra items and store in bank, NOT in your inventory.
Do missions 2 at a time. You get an email as things sell when you have sold alot, between missions, go re-stock bazzar.
Also you will want tosetup a house local to a starport (1000m) and place those vendors andstock them up. Now move your items from bank to vendor.
Remember Veteran players use the vendors more so keep your prices down to attract customers.
If you have a factory or access to one I would recommend making a good power up or 2 and making a factory run of them. They sell best by the crate.
Part 2: Missions
Artisan Missions; take 2 at a time, both in same direction. each mission is about 1.2 to 1.4k each.
Personally I survey for all resources once I am past the 1000m limit from the mission terminal.
Put a waypoint on 1 of each type of resource at 80% or better, RENAME it to indicate resource type.. ie, reactive gas, inert gas, petrol fuel, etc..
Take missions 2 at a time different directions until you have checked each direction.
NOTE: SKIP ORE - unless there happens to be a JTL Ore spawned then it will rarely get to the 60% that the terminals want.
Now just select 2 in same direction and head out to waypoints you have created.
If you can find a Artisan Mission Terminal near where most of your resource waypoints are you can turn around and do the same for the trip back.
I did this and my waypoints lasted about 4 days. Don't forget to re-stock Bazzar between missions when needed.
