Thread: need advancement advice:
So, should I go straght for Weaponsmith, which I am almost too, or should I use my GCXP to get master artisan first. I need all 4 business skills and 2-4 of DA, which will take me about the same amount of XP as going to Weaponsmith.
So, is Master Artisan that much better to have? Is it worth using 20k XP on? I seem to get about 2500 XP per full set of bone armor, so it means I'll have to crank out another 8-20 sets of Bone Armor to reach Weaponsmith again, and that get's REALLY expensive. Any thoughts here?
Thanks.
Also, I would really appricaite others ideas on which profession to go into. I really like crafting armor, but hate being reliant on the outragous prices of bone and hide, and it looks like you still need that for quite a while for most armors. As I stated before, I don't have a ton of time to play (about 15-20 hours per week) so I don't think I can handle the massive resources for Droids or Architect. I'd love to do either one over weapon/armor, but don't think I can afford it.
So, any thoughts as to what is the best way to go for this?
Thanks again.
I'm at the same spot as you. I'm going to skip master artisan for now. 620 Apprentice experience is a lot! However, a lot of people are going up weaponsmith and finding that they cannot really craft anything good with novice weaponsmith. Their D18 Pistols are really not good since they can make the roughly the same quality CDEFs with all the experimentation points they have from general crafting.
My plan is to get up to Domestic IV to get the extra experimentation points on general crafting items and then hop onto Architect. I will later get back to weaponsmith after i'm able to create my own house and crafting station. I think the Master Artisan items are not in high demand yet so I will fill the business tree after that to get Master Artisan and the ability to place a vendor in my house. Only then will my actual Weaponsmith career start.
Hope this makes some sense.
I was at the same boat at you. Here is what I did. Go for your profession now, let the UXP carry your GCXP up to master artisan. Besides your not going to stop making a few power ups to hand out with your weapons are you? Get your weapon crafting XP started now and let the GCXP take care of itself.
