Thread: Why do Bone Segments have less Experiment Points than Bone Chest Plates?

I'm an artisan with Eng 4, I've got a total of 8 points to experiment with when I build myself a bone chest plate. In order to build the bone checs plate I needed a bone segment (obviously) but for that I only got a single experiment point. I tried a variety of different materials and that changed the integrity, but nothing I could do would get me even close to the 8 experiment points that I'm used to.

I believe the NUMBER of materials involved also make a difference in how much you can experience. so a item with 60 materials gets more experimentation than one with 20

also, the quality of the item maters too. like there are some things I can use Radioactive material in and I find if I have a 20 mat item with 10 units radioactive, I think I get like 12 experimentation points.

I'm only at level 3 engr. so I could be wrong

This is a broken schematic, it is included in the Artisan Issues thread.

For some reason Bone Segmants do a experimentation check vs armorsmithing and not artisan.

Segments are special.

No they do not check against armorsmithing. You get ONE experiment point, ever, on segments.Bone, chitin or whatever, you only get 1. Also the failure rates are really bad, thats just they way they are.

Err, no, I didn't really check armorweave and bone for quite some time, but I am 100% sure that I do have 3 points to spend on chitin, with techniques II...
