Will I get UXP if I give away (or sell) my lame DOM IV foodstuffs? Sunshine Surprise/Dustcrepe... etc.

I gave some away last night, but I wasn't paying enough attention to my XP to know if it helped or not.

Is this general rule true:

"The more materials that go into the thing you are crafting, the more XP you get"

You get about 2xp per material used. Powerups used to give more, but that was changed. As soon as the patch comes out, you will no longer get UXP for items you make and use, such as components.

I get some UXP, but its a very small amount compared to crafting. I find that items like guns and armor that are used a lot give a nice stream of UXP opposed to one use items like food.
