Thread: Business 3 vendor What can I expect?
Later tonight I'm going to be placing my store, setting up a vendor, and stocking some weapons.
I was wondering what I'm going to be looking at maintanence wise, and is there anthing that I should know before I take this step. As I mentioned I trained to business 3.
Expect a big ugly vendor that has maintence based on the total selling price of what is listed inside it. Also you will be happy to note that you will get merchant xp for just having the vendor in existance.
If you plan on running your own shop I recommend that you go for the merchant class and get advertising 3. Nothing says here is my shop like a waypoint on the planetary map.
The costs right now are bugged and nobody knows how. Right now the Biz3 box is widely considered "overpriced". When you get merchant and NPC vendors their maintenance is always 1, which is trivial.
Nobody can tell if NPCs should be the same price as bizzyboxes or if the bizzybox should be cheaper or some combination of the two.
You can keep the costs of the biz3 vendor down by stocking it more frequently and not leaving a large volume of things on it.
I'd get the bizbox up and running (before the pure merchants take it away which their correspondent is pushing) and upgrade to novice merchant as fast as possible. Once you're to novice, the merchant line is very weak until you start to expand to new locations and need additional merchants.
