Ive already seen several people on my vendor who are going to offer vehicles at 10k it is much less expensive to just pay that then to try and get to Eng 4 (if the vehicles dont get moved to MA) and besides youll want someone who at least has eng 4 and domestic arts 4 so they can use their experimentation to get the durability up... now if the resource requirements dont change...I think mine will go between 12 and 15k still much cheaper than trying to grind out engineering. Of course you may have to wait a few hours to get a vehicle...but the wierdos who HAVE to have it right dang now when they come out...well they will pay 100k for some wierd reason...

I'm sure that it is fairly expensive in both time and money to get there and yet people will be doing it just so they won't have to "waste" money buying a vehicle from someone else. Kinda makes me laugh, although I am a little sad about what it will do to vehicle prices. Oh well, power ups and repair tools still more than adequately pay the bills.

Well to get to engineering 4 it will cost you 100 credits for novice artisian, and thats it. You just need to sample enough material to practice. That's approximately 5000 units of metal if you make survey tools. If you just want to buy the materials from someone else, on my server resources go for about 3 credits a unit, so that would add up to around 15100 credits.

About the same again...it's a second tree that has the same XP requirements.
Thing is, within a week or so, *everyone* will haveEng IV, specificallyfor vehicles, and be trying to sell them, so I'm not sure 3pu is a realistic assessment. It'll work out much, much cheaper; people desperately trying to undercut each other all the way down to 0.3cpu Harvester Output.
If this is the case, then it will be far cheaper not to learn Eng IV/DA IV, just for one bike. Plus, you avoid a potential waste of about 30 Skill Points. By all means, be an Artisan if that's what you want, but it probably isn't worth it just for a one-off Speeder Bike.

The only real reason I think people want to grind up and make their own vehicles is that they saw CHs selling mounts for major cash when mounts were patched in and they either want to tap in to it for vehicles or they want to have a vehicle on the first day without paying someone big credits for for it. A secondary reason I expect is that there are people out there who don't like to depend on others for anything, they'll grind out a bunch of vehicles store them for future use and then drop the skills.

Weird I'd think it would be cheaper and less aggravating to just buy the darned things.
