Was wondering what it's going to take to make a vehicle. If anyone on TC would be so kind, can they please post what is needed for each vehicle.

Thanks,

That's it??? No sub-components? No multi-part assembly? I was hoping for something a little morecomplex to justify higer prices... I can't believe I need 2 subcomponents and 3 assemblies to make a pair of work slacks and yet I can build a vehicle in one shot... geez!

Has this been confirmed?

I'm soooo hoping those schematics are exclusive to TC for the purpose of allowing more people to try them out. If that's all thats needed on live servers, they might as well have vehicles pop in the wild as babys to be tamed by CHs.

For vehicle crafting to be less complex than basic tailoring would be totally bogus.

They wanted to get SOME vehicles in before the first of the year, so they could actually get all the things back in, that were held back frrom release, i.e. player cities, mounts, and vehicles. With the limited number of vehicles, they could not justify a whole new profession, and they didn't want to just slap one together right now. There are enough broken professions without creating another one before it was actually needed.

Slapping basic schematics like this together... is... well the quick and dirty way of doing it. I hope they revisit this to have it actually make sense... I agree that it should be substantially more complex then tailoring a pair of slacks.... and hope eventually that several subcomponents become necessary, and take advantage of experimentation for greater speeds, durability, and perhaps maneuverability. I do see a common trend persisting through to vehicles though... I'm not overly surprised at the way this is currently being done.

I agree too, but since I hate making subcomponents, I'll be happy for a while!

I cannot believe that a pair of pants or even boneChest plate which takes 3 fiber panels, 1 bone armor segment for a total of 242 resources and 5 (count them 5) completions to make.

But yet I can make a vehicle in one shot bam.

How about thorwing in those worthless components from Master Artisan. The are worthless if you just have Master Artisan. They are only useful if you take an elite class such as Armorsmith, Weaponsmith, Droid Engineer, or Architect.

Think about it doesn't a Micro Sensor Suite (for propellsion), Power conditioner (for power filtering), Engery Distributor (to distribute power to hover engines) (multiple ones for the landspeeder since it is bigger), and a control unit (for um control) sound like they BELONG in a Vehicle?

I'm not saying that The Vehicles should move to Master Artisan. Keep them at Engineering 4 but add these components to the schematic please. Make a Master Artisan worth something then just a stepping stone. I got Master Artisan becasue I thought they wre going to be able to make better items or even stronger ones that they could already. Once I got Master I took a look and found out that I can make.....a Bird Cage?

Some how I thought that all the schematics in a class service the purpose of that class and were helpful to tother classes as well. But every schematic I got at Master Artisan serves absolutly no purpose what so ever to ANYTHING in the Artisan line.

Now a Micro sensor suite, power conditioner, energy distributor, and control unit sound like something I'd find in a Vehicle. I mean even my Chevy S-10 has an electronic memory bank. So they can throw the Electronics memory module and GP module in as well.

Besides wouldn't you think that a MASTER Artisan would make a superior vehicle over just an Engineer?

I agree as well

I really believe that we should pester the heck out of the Devs to make Vehicle crafting an actual Profession.

They mentioned in the article that they may release more vehicle types, later on. Why not just start this Vehicle patch the right way, and make it a new Profession. The newer vehicles can be added later but, with the 3 set to be released, there should be alot more to making them than just some units of metal ?!?

Being a Master Artisan alone, doesn't have muchto do with crafting a vehicle. Vehicle craftingshould be ascomplex, if not more complex than Droid Engineering. If the requirment for vehicle crafting is just "Master Artisan" it's not right either.

I'm sure that this may be in the works already. In the form of an expansion, or included in the Space expansion. More money to spend
