Thread: Learn Your CRAFT!!
After the fiasco yesterday I feel compelled to make this post.
It is all too clear to me that many people grinded to Master Artisan in the last week to simply sell vehicles cheaply and they have NO FRICKING CLUE about the profession.
I'm seeing posts from people that were selling vehicles that ranged from 40% -80% and bragging about it. It's quite clear that we have a huge population base out there that is driving around on inferior equipment because the new genius crowd of Master Artisan wanted to sell cheaply and they did not know what materials to use to make a properly experimented vehicle. EVERY vehicle I made yesterday was between 92-95% experimentation. Clients who purchased from me got a quality product made with the finest materials available. I even dipped into my Weaponsmith stash (deeply) to make this happen.
Now we have two problems. The first is that we have a client base who have become conditioned to low prices for inferior products. Secondly, we have Master Artisans who are clueless about their profession. Crafting and harvesting resources is something that requires thought and planning. Clearly, we havea large group of Masters who cannot do either well. I'll probably pull out of the vehicle market for a while and go back to Weaponsmithing. I was thinking that high quality vehicle production and sales would be an honorable profession but this does not appear to be the case. Regards.

My armorsmith materials didn't get touched - I didn't even put them in my inventory. Not even the mediocre kiirium steel I havem just in case nothing better spawns by the time I make master and need it for composite.
Vehicles will remain a commodity as long as the majority of the people crafting and the people buying them don't care about quality. Frankly, in a market like this I don't want to be a crafter/seller. I turned my Master Artisan tag off after I ran out of vehicle materials.
actually I sold my vehicles for 50k and they where 90 percent duribility on swoops and 92 on the land speeders. But from what I've heard the 60% durability ones only had about a 200 hit point difference could be a bug "shrugs"
I made a handsome profit at this price and made more then I would have if I sold my resources to others.
Ba-Ba,
what are the hit points on your vehicles with 90%+ experimentation? My first six vehicles were (due to the used materials) all at 67% experimentation (2 crit fails) and had more than 2K HAM. I am curious what good vehicles should have then.
