I have been trying to udnderstand this for a while.
If you are a Master Artisan you are a +10 Artisanbecause you have 100 points of experimentation.
Then if you get plus 20 Artisan Experimentation clothing attachments you will become a +12 Artisan.
Also the maximum bonus you can get from any combination of clothing attactments is +25 in a catagory.
I saw some Artisans that say they are 14 point Artisans. How do you get 14 points?
This is what I have able to understand form the different posts that I have read on the forums. Is this correct?
Is this the same for all crafting professions?
Thanks

Human artisans get a racial bonus. It adds up like this:
+100 Artisan Experimentation from 44xx artisan
+15 Artisan Experimentation from being human
+25 Artisan Experimentation from skill attachments.
--------
= +140 Artisan Experimentation total = 14 points.
Skill tape bonuses cap at +25 total. Most crafters only buy up +20 worth of skill tapes because the extra +5 doesn't do much (it does improve your success rate a little, but doesn't give more points). Racial bonuses stack on top of skill tapes and mods gained from skill boxes.

Oh, and Artisan is the only profession where any race has a bonus to experimentation. Some (Ithorin, Sullustonfor shipwright, Mon Cal for weaponsmith and architect) get bonuses to a particular profession's assembly skill, though.
