Thread: Energy Stats?

I got some wind energy off the bizarre the other day and it had a Potential Energy of 232 and the OQ was 500.

Does the stats of energy effect my harvestors in any way when I put it in?

If not why does energy have Stats - im guessing its because it is used in some crafting processes but im not sure.

PE is used for harvesters, factories, etc.

PE 500 and lower is as normal.

PE over 500effectively decreases the amount of energy used by a harvester. If you had PE 1000 energy, it would last twice as long as PE 500 or lower energy.

Don't think energy is used for crafting, so I'm not sure what the OQ is for, unless it's just a stat that every resource gets.

Do you get the feeling that Harvs are broken? I went to mine earlier and it had no maintanence in and no power but it was happily

still chugging away collecting resources! (i know that maintanence is automatically deducted from your bank but i though the harv would stop collecting resources with no power?)


My harvs are heavy harvs.

Hehe - will keep it quiet


Maybe the Devs like me for some reason because this is happening on three of my heavy harvs and I have had a solar

generator up for three weeks with 2 days and 2 hours maintanence in - and it never goes down!!

AFAIK - PE is only calculated into usableunitswhen it is dealing with Radioactive energy, not wind or solar.


As for radioactive energy stacks - it can be used as a Mineral substitute - High OQ shows up a lot of times in some Rad. Power.

Radioactives are used in Shipwright crafting, some Combat Medic medicines, and (I think) some spices.

Ya. There are some bugs in the maintenance system right now.

BTW, I've used radioactives in a lot of schematics. They work well in Medic stims as the inorganic component. Esp. if the PE is high.
