Sample until the little box comes up. Stand and sample again. Do not press ok or cancel. Just leave the box on your screen. Do this until you have 4 or 5 boxes stacked on top of each other. Get some accagaram and brandy and take one of each. Make sure you are sampling and hit ok on all the boxes but do not stop sampling. You will get 4-5 times you usual amount of experience.

It seems that as of late that half the posts in this forum are about surveying, mainly grinding it.

It also seems my {insert witty phrase!}

If you have all types of surveying equipment you are bound to get a 75%+ spot nearby.

I'm not 100% sure if this is true or not, but in my opinion ( i used it) it seemed to help immensely- Have a 4400 Artisan or a master use some steel with very high conductivity (900+, or 950 is even better) to make you some very high quality survey tools. I crafted my own set of every survey tool at 97% quality using some 960 Conductivity Steel. It seems to dramatically increase your success at sampling, and thus make the survey line go MUCH faster. Whether this is actually true that better quality tools increase successes or if i just had a long streak of luck with few failures, it certainly seemed to make a difference to me.

I'd just like clarification from a dev or someone who has spoken to a dev whether highly experimented survey tools increase sampling success rate.

Think you mean copper ....never seen Steel with 900+ Conductivity-- polysteel or platinitecopper usually has the best CD.

Also Ive never noticed an increase in harvesting due to tool quality...Im not sure if there is a difference. Survey tools have no stats, and the only ones you see are during the actual experimentation.

Can anyone confirm or deny that tool quality plays any part in surveying success/sample size?

The JTL steel can be over 900 CD. On my server I have one million units of and I use it to make all the energy weapons that need high CD steel. It's swell.
