Thread: Surveying without Novice Artisan skill?

Hello everyone!


I may not have read everything properly so please do not flame me if I am asking the obvious!


Reading the Force Sensitive forums, I found the following:

Heightened Senses: "Survey [+20] Gives you 64/64 surveying without Artisan, 384x384 if you have survey"



Is this indeed correct?


Also, as far as I know a certain skill can be enhanced by a maximum value of +25 with clothing or armour attachments so if I wear a particular clothing with Survey + 25 in addition to the above + 20 Survey skill from Heightened Senses what range will I be able to survey at?

You cant survey without the survey command. Which is gained at Novice Artisan. Survey is an active skill needing a command not a passive skill like terrain negotiation.

Thanks, so it seems the FS guide is somewhat mistaken...

...still I had my hopes of saving a few skill points!


Also, could I just ask one more question?

If I learn Novice Artisan + Survey I and wear a clothing item with Survey + 25 will that "make me" Survey II? Hence will my range increase to 128m instead of the 64m available at Novice Artisan and Survey I?

You can use the inorganic survey device youre given as quest reward with surveying 4 from the heightened senses as well as all other survey devices for 64 meters
