What is the radio for? Does it do anything?
And is there any other new things for Artisans to craft? I haven't really played for months and there are all these new things... Can anyone bring me up to speed please?

Nothing really special, just a white radio, easy to make (one-use) only needed some Metal, Ore, and Gas. I'll get in game and take a screenshot if I can't find one

I think I seen one...
But does it do anything?
I thought either it was for a bigger project, like a component, or a boom-box looking thing. But the thing I saw is some ugly little thing that looks like junk. Can it play any music? Because if it could that would be neat.

My alt learned the schematic but I cant seem to find it anywhere. what crafting station do I use and where is it located?

Yeah i was hoping it was there to at least play the game music or let you play MP3 files wherever you had it out. But so far its just a new loot item like the gambling table.

It's just a decoration for now. It's unknown whether it will do something in the future or not.
With regard to other new artisan schematics we've gotten:
- All purpose ship repair kit: part of JTL
- Ship crafting tool: JTL again
- Street lamp: a loot schematic similar to the radio. It produces a short little square lamp that is called a "street lamp," which cannot be placed in player cities as a streetlamp. Apparently it is one of those elusive indoor streetlamps.
- Resource recyclers: these were released about a month ago. Each one is a one-use looted schematic. In addition to the schematic itself you also need to gather several other loot components from across the galaxy before you can build your resource recycler.

Well, I've just been buying them off of the bazaar for about 3k per schematic, but if you're really set on looting your own I believe meatlumps drop these things like crazy. I know they drop either the radio schematic or the streetlamp schematic... possibly both come to think of it. However, at an average price of 3-4k per schematic, I've never considered it worth my time to find out for myself.

To be more specific the Meatlumps outside of the Corellian Starports. They drop several schematics.
-Radio
-Streetlamp (indoor use only/only turns on at night too)
I must have about 5 of each after killing Meatlumps for 30 minutes just outside of Coronet. The Meatlumps also drop several other new loot items, Copper Battery among them.

I looted 20 of the radio schematics in Nashal SP/Talus. The streetlamp made will light up when u hear an IG music change which depicts night...I put it on my tabletop and it made a rather nice lighted up scene.

You need all those loot components to make an object nobody has any real use for. The thing turns semi usable specific resources into generic, low-quality, almost useless junk resources. Does anyone really have a need to create generic metal with 200 for all of it stats? I think not. I'm not really surewhy the powers that be thought these would be of any use whatsoever. Ah well...
